We are currently on the lookout for the position of Discipline Leader - Surface Treatment for one of our clients.
Location: Norway
Planned start date: August
Tasks:
• Responsible for discipline resources, planning, interface, deliverables, scope definition, task priorities and quality
• Develop solutions according to Customer and Client standards and requirements
• Participate and arrange meetings, workshops and reviews for surface discipline
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on surface treatment processes, including coating, painting, and corrosion protection.
• Manage and supervise a team of surface treatment specialists, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
• Interface with other disciplines, contractors and client
• Arrange and lead surface treatment meetings, client meetings, workshops and reviews
• Interface with other disciplines, construction, MC, commissioning, operation, other contractors and suppliers
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. (A master's degree is a plus)
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in surface treatment within the oil and gas industry, including hands-on experience with coating, painting, and corrosion protection.
• Experience from leading surface treatment teams or discipline teams
• Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms and the selection of appropriate coatings and surface treatments for various environments.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements related to surface treatment
• Proficiency in the following softwares: MIPS, Navisworks
• Excellent leadership qualities
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners
Language:
English - Fluent (Fluent proficiency is mandatory for this position)
Norwegian - is an advantage
